Meet The Artist

Hey! I’m Mel, London / Nottingham-based Illustrator & Graphic Designer. I like to think my work has a consistent style and feel to it. I’m love drawing silly creatures, mostly foxes if that wasn’t already obvious. Digital art is my main way of working, however I often drift towards traditional print methods when I want a rough, textured finish.

My motivation is to make people smile or pause for a second. While my work might look whimsical or humorous at first glance, it sits upon something a bit deeper. I enjoy exploring bigger ideas, but keeping them light, playful, and easy to swallow. This is usually drawn from personal experiences and perspectives.

I’m quite a flexible, open minded and adaptable artist, however, I’m extremely passionate about in working within the graphic design industry, whether that be designing products, logos, mascots, clothing etc. I love designing characters and placing them into different scenarios where my imagination and creativity is challenged. The thought of seeing my work exist in all sorts of contexts and places is exciting to say the least.
